The Mahindra XUV500 is the flagship SUV which was launched in September 2011. The vehicle is built on the 'Cheetah-inspired' design tenet and is one of the premium family vehicles in India.
The key elements in the design front are black claddings, wheel arches, sporty alloys and a bold front grille.
As for the power train, the XUV500 churns out the required power from a 2.2 litre mHawk VGT engine, which is capable of delivering 140 bhp power. You get to choose between a five-speed manual and an six-speed automatic transmission system. Moreover, a 1.99L diesel engine is available. The oil burners can deliver a mileage of 16 kmpl.
It has a starting price tag of Rs. 12.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
